PA Youth

Prep

Age: 18 months to 4 years.

Focus: Fundamentals of technique, self expression, following instruction and musicality.

Styles: Ballet (Prep for RAD), Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre

Performance:  The prep program performs on stage at our mid year concert in July and at our end of year production in November.

Mini Elite

Approximate age: 4 1/2 to 7 years.

Focus: Skill building, strength and technique, discipline, self expression, confidence, musicality.

Styles: Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Singing and Circus/Contortion.

Performance: Students perform throughout the year at local festivals, competitions and events as well as at a mid year and end of year production. Some students may perform solos throughout the year. Option to perform on international tours.

Junior

Approximate age: 8 to 10 years

Focus: Learning new skills, building strength and technique, interpretation of music, confidence in performance, discipline, building friendships

Styles: Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting and Contortion.

Performance: Students perform throughout the year at local festivals, competitions and events as well as at a mid year and end of year production. Some students may perform solos throughout the year. Option to perform on international tours.

Intermediate

Approximate age: 11 to 13 years

Focus: Advancement in skills, clarity and strength in movement, stylistic interpretation, responsibility, camaraderie, career preparation

Styles: Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting, Circus and Contortion

Performance:  Students perform throughout the year at local festivals, competitions and events as well as at a mid year and end of year production. Some students may perform solos throughout the year. Option to perform on international tours.

Senior

Age: 14 years+

Styles: Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting, Circus and Contortion

Focus: Maturity in performance, stylistic interpretation, versatility, camaraderie, career building

Performance: There will be performance opportunities throughout the year. These may include special events, competitions, theatre productions and on international tours. Students are encouraged to work on solo routines as well as ensemble works.  Other opportunities may also be available for students wishing to pursue a career in performing arts.
